Yarn Tasting1st Annual Yarn Tasting
The 1st Annual Serendipity Yarn Tasting is September 21st from 3 to 6 p.m. What’s a yarn tasting? It’s a gathering of knitters to get a taste of new yarns by knitting small samples of several different yarns. It’s also an opportunity to visit with knitting friends and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages together. It’s a great way to see what yarn you just can’t live without and it will be FUN! We’ll be sampling a variety of new fall and winter yarns that are starting to arrive in the store. You’ll get a discount on any yarn you buy and we’ll have door prizes throughout the afternoon.

The yarn tasting is limited to 20 people. The cost is $25. Included are 7 samples, hors d’oeuvres, and beverages. We’ll be closing the store early. Sign up by telephone, 395-3110, or come by the shop

Knit Bits

We asked you back in April what you’ve knit in the past year and the results are in. Hats and scarves are still the most popular items knit by Serendipity customers. Sweaters, vests, socks and baby items follow close behind. Left in the cold in last place, with two lonely votes, were knitted items for our four-legged friends.
